How MSU blocks email viruses
When a message comes into the mail.msu.edu system it is scanned for viruses, if one is found then the message is rejected. The viruses are detected using the ClamAV software and virus database. The ClamAV virus database that mail.msu.edu uses is checked for updates every 30 minutes. Update: Webmail messages are now scanned for viruses!
